Conradin Bonorand Estate
The Project
The Reformation and humanism researcher Dr. phil. et Dr. theol. h.c., who died in 1996. Conradin Bonorand (1914–1996), who died in 1996, left an extensive estate focusing on the personal history of the 16th century. This estate was transferred to the Institute for Swiss Reformation Studies at the University of Zurich in 1997.
At the end of 2005, Prof. Dr. theol. Emidio Campi, then director of the Institute for Swiss Reformation Studies, initiated a project to catalog the estate of Conradin Bonorand, which was implemented by Dr. phil. Doris Klee.
Conradin Bonarand’s estate includes a large number of personal notes of varying size, most of which are excerpts from literature and some from archives. The aim of the project was to record these notes in an index of names in order to support further research projects.
Thanks to the Erika Brawand Jucker Foundation, the Anton Cadonau Memorial Foundation, the Foundation for Scientific Research at the University of Zurich, the Protestant Reformed Church of the Canton of St. Gallen and the National Church of the Grisons, the Fundaziun pil romontsch en baselgia and the Faculty of Theology and the Study of Religion at the University of Zurich, the cataloguing of the estate was completed in summer 2008.
