Programmatic Writings: De testamento (1534)

Cover, De testamento

Front page: Heinrich Bullinger De testamento

De testamento is one of the most important sources on Bullinger’s theology and at the same time the first writing in the history of theology to deal monographically with God’s covenant with man. It is edited historically-critically on the basis of the first edition (1534) and the second edition (1537), taking into account the early New High German translation of 1534. It is to be published in a volume of the series “Heinrich Bullinger Werke, 3. Abteilung: Theologische Schriften” together with three other programmatic treatises by the Zurich antist: De prophetae officio (1532), Assertio utriusque in Christo naturae (1534), Der alt gloub (1537).
