Summa christlicher Religion (1556)
The Summa Christlicher Religion is the “little sister” of the Decades. This catechetical work was intended for a wider readership. Bullinger published the Summa in Early New High German in 1556. The Summa was quickly well received in the Reformed world and went into many editions in various languages. The first edition of 1556 is edited historically-critically on the basis of the second edition of 1558 and with consideration of the Latin translation by Josias Simler from 1556. Together with the catechetical work Catechesis pro adultioribus (1559), it is to be published in a volume of the series “Heinrich Bullinger Werke, 3. Abteilung: Theologische Schriften”.
Compendium Christianae Religionis (1556)
The Compendium Christianae Religionis is the same project or work as the Summa Christlicher Religion (see above).
