January 2019 marked the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Zurich Reformation and thus the beginning of worldwide reformed Protestantism as a denominational and a force shaping culture.

At the anniversary congress in February, the leading historians of the Reformation from all over the world met in Zurich. The contributions present and summarize the current the current state of research on the Zurich Reformation and open up new perspectives in historical, historical and theological terms. The main focus of the researchers is on the role of the Zurich Reformation in the European Reformation movement.
